Introduction

The Chinatown Heritage Centre has reopened after revamping, inviting visitors to rediscover the rich history, culture, and resilience of Singapore Chinatown’s residents, offering an immersive experience that connects visitors with the past.

Retaining its signature recreated interiors of 1950s shophouse tenants, the updated exhibits introduces refreshed displays, storytelling, and elements that bring to life the experiences of early Chinese migrants. Through these exhibits, visitors can explore the evolving identity of Chinatown and the community that shaped it.
