Introduction
Amid the skyscrapers in cosmopolitan Singapore, there is a quiet shop, filled from floor to ceiling with statues of Taoist deities, some the size of iPhones, some the size of a chair. Say Tian Hng Buddha Shop (translated as Heavenly Garden) has made, sold and repaired Taoist idols for 123 years. The shop is now the last surviving one in Singapore.
