Introduction
Bak Kut Teh (肉骨茶) or directly translated to ‘meat bone tea’ in English is a Chinese soup commonly found in Singapore and Malaysia. Don’t be fooled by its name: the soup itself does not contain tea of any kind. One possible explanation for the name is the fact that you would drink this soup with Chinese tea. Traditionally, the dish is prepared through many hours of simmering pork ribs in a broth of pepper and garlic, amongst other herbs under charcoal fire as depicted by the 3D sticker. A popular dish in Singapore with its own heritage, every Singaporean will have their favourite Bak Kut Teh.
