Re-opening of Spring St & Reconfiguration of Banda St/
Sago Lane Off-Street Carpark (B0005)
To facilitate the ongoing Thomson East Coast Line construction works,
Spring Street will be re-opening and Banda Street/ Sago Lane Off-Street Carpark (B0005) will be reconfigured. With the re-opening of Spring Street, the entrance to carpark B0005 will be from Spring Street and exit will be via Sago Lane.
Traffic marshals and indicative signage will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians.
On 1st Jan 2020, Chinatown welcomed a total of 15 lion dance troupes for Singapore Dragon and Lion Dance Festival 2020. They executed eye popping acrobatic maneuvers on Smith Street; attracting big crowds.
The festival closed off with the presentation of trophies.

Chingay 2020 @ Chinatown
The Chingay parade, the annual largest street performance and float parade in Asia, will make an appearance in Chinatown this year, marking the end of the Chinese New Year Celebrations. A vibrant night with families and friends will include special performances by local and overseas performers, and beautifully decorated lighted float.
